It’s finally here, Barcamp Lagos… We are so excited to make this happen this year. Last year was super-successful and we surely believe we can replicate and surpass that this year. Last year, we discussed about local content, this year we will focus on start-ups, mobile revolution, e-payments, business and monetization. We do recognize these are some of the challenges we are facing in the industry. We will bring those who have experience building technology business from scratch to taking it public.

To make Barcamp Kaduna a success, we are shifting the date from 21-22nd of this month to 5th of February, this we believe we help us fix all logistic issues that might arise. We thank you for your understanding.

(Lagos, Nigeria) 7^th January 2011 the Barcamp Nigeria team is proud to announce the schedule for 2011 Barcamp events. The event was successfully organized two editions in 2009 and 2010, and having listened to the yearnings of tech professionals for engaging events, we are poised to take it further in 2011 by organizing it in various parts of the country.

BarCamp is an ‘unconference’ – ad-hoc gathering of people with the simple desire to share and learn in an open environment. Unlike a conference, at a BarCamp everyone is both a speaker and a participant. The content is provided by all attendees based on their interests.

Barcamp Nigeria was held on the 25^th of April 2009 and second edition was held 22^nd of May 2010 both in Lagos. We have planned to hold this event in four different locations across the country;
