Nokia is currently holding a training programme for selected Nigerian programmers in their head office in Lagos. At the event they made announcement about interesting prizes;

• E7 phone for top-five Apps published in OVI Store before May 30^th
• Free continuous training for top-twelve developers
• A partnership deal to promote to apps; this include Marketing of the app by Nokia and a 30-70% profit sharing between the publisher and Nokia.
• Access to big clients who is interested in publishing apps to OVI store.  Talking to Praveen, he said, their goal is to get developers equipped and let them be able to sell their skills.

Nokia’s training is interesting with depth covering mobile application development and QT. I could say categorically that, the training offered here by Nokia is worth nothing less than $1000 if you are to pay for it.

Well, for Nokia, it is also a good deal for them as this event will give them access to first-generation Nokia developers’  army in Nigeria which will in the long-run grow Nokia ecosystem and their platform highly competitive.
