[Breaking News] VTN to launch Mobile Payment in Nigeria; Want beta testers
Virtual Terminal Network (VTN), is one of Nigeria’s leading e-payment company specializing on mobile and online payments. The company announced last night that it set to release its mobile payment application to the market, having completed its internal testing, it now needs volunteer customers to test the service before eventual release to the market.
We had earlier reported that the company raise a whopping 1.5billion Naira in form of private placement, this step is a confirmation that the money are being put to use.
From there message:
Virtual Terminal Network (VTN), Nigeria`s most advanced payment gateway, is now testing its mobile payment applications on all phones in use in Nigeria, including all Java-enabled phones, Blackberry phones and Android phones.
Taking about how to fund your account;
The mobile applications support prepaid reload cards in addition to VTN`s existing method of loading via banks. Four banks are currently activated: Bank PHB, GTB, Intercontinental Bank and Oceanic Bank.
A very good strategy for them as they are working with some of Nigeria banks, so we expect good usage for the platform.

Good to see that my bank (GTBank) is one of the first in on the action. This initiative will definitely go a long way to make life easier. How does one apply to be a beta tester?
