At a time when people were still praising the rise of innovation within the tech space in Nigeria over the past one year, the Co-creation Hub has come up with another initiative – the i-HQ, in collaboration with other technology companies. All thanks to the Co-creation Hub which has been involved in many of the innovations which has pushed the industry forward in recent times and they are already poised to do more with the birth of the i-HQ.
According to their website, the i-HQ Project is an industry led initiative that aims to accelerate the growth of technology innovation and entrepreneurship for economic prosperity in Nigeria.
The project will leverage the innovation assets within the technology cluster located around Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba in building an ‘innovation city’ – a hotspot for creative ventures where all key stakeholders (academics, industry and government) find adequate infrastructure, resources and an enabling environment to thrive while collaborating.
Some of the partners include the Federal Ministry of Communications Technology, the Lagos Innovation Advisory Council, Nokia, Afrinnova amongst others.
If this project becomes very successful, as we expect it to be, there is no doubt that Nigeria will become the powerhouse of innovations in Africa. We believe in this, do you? Check it out here – i-HQ
