Interesting Nigerian Startups Featured on Techcrunch

It’s a good time to be a Nigerian technology envangelist and also a startup entrepreneur. We hosted Sarah Lacy of Techcrunch on the 5th of this month (May) which was tagged “Tech Open Day” or “Demo Day” anyway you choose to call it. It was an interesting moment as top Nigerian innovators came around to demo their works. My new company (Traffic.com.ng) was amongst the demoing applications. Before the programme started, I had about 10mins chat with Sarah while in a convoy to the venue, and I saw that she had positive expectation.

She wrote her first article last week amidst mixed feeling and expectation, but at the end she wrote about the Demo day. She listed some of the startups as her favourite and had a couple comments on them. It’s an interesting read I must commend, Now it’s the time to know that positive things are happening in Nigeria apart from the known scamming few.

If you want to see how innovative Nigerians are, go read the article, try drop a comment on it and spread the word. The western countries have/owns the media power and as such, it has not worked in our favour. This time, read, drop comment and share the news.
