As usual here on our top Nigerian site, let’s take you through how they feared this December. Undoubtedly nairaland.com remains the 1 site in Nigeria. Last month witness a first time reduction in number of news websites in the top ten slot from 5 to 3. But the trend has reversed itself. The high note is that punchng.com as reverse their earlier decision to monetize their content and has allowed free content on their site.
Generally, Nigerian browsing pattern still revolves around Mail, Social Networks, Search, Forum, News, Jobs and SMS. On the global scene, Yahoo, Facebook and Google are the top sites Nigerians visit. On the local scene, forum site nairaland.com is the top site follow by two news sites and SMS. After last month’s news site drop in traffic, we witness a rebound as couple news site have wax strong even as more are dropping off. The top-ten now have five news sites.
