Nokia Training on Mobile Application Development Over-subscribed

It is quite obvious that Nokia’s planned training has been oversubscribed prompting them to close the registration. Immediately we made the announcement as we got a tip-off, the tech community trooped to the site and registered. We see this as a good development for Nigerian tech industry given this as a good way to further improve human capital in the country.

I sent an email to Nokia tech community rep, Praveen Shetty and he said the available seats have been exceeded and that they have made huge effort to get best trainers to facilitate the event.

I expect to see mobile application developere attend and become proficient after the event. It will indeed spur development as their imaginations will be expanded given the newfound knowledge they will acquired at the event.

The industry is quite open and waiting for innovation: any tech company, whether local or international that is able to tap into the growing developers, will reap the reward in the nearest future.

  1. Question :: would they be trained on building business models too or just app development?

one of the challenges of skilled artists/craftmen is the ability to manage skills profitably.

Thanks to Nigeria for bringing the world to Nigeria.

  2. Possicon says:

Well i guess all they will teach is development and how to monetise app on their OVI store. Their main concern is to grow their business and developers can go ahead and learn the rest on their own.
