Results for Internet Usage in Nigeria Survey

Whatever is not measure can not be adequately planned for… goes the saying. In our quest to shape the future of internet in Nigeria, we conducted our first research which was online and around Lagos metropolis. On this page we shall highlight the results of our research as they are being evaluated. We shall make the final report available for download. Total numbers of female: 36
People between the age of 13-19: 17%
Respondent between the ages of 20 – 25: 34%

Percentage of people who comes online 5 days a week: 19%
Percentage of people who comes online once a week: 14%
Percentage of people who comes online twice a month: 3%
Percentage of people who comes online once in a while: 30%
Percentage of people who stays online just 30 minutes: 18%
Percentage of people who stays online for 1 hour: 25%
Percentage of people who stays online for 2 hours: 14%
Percentage of people who stays online for 5 hours: 20%
Percentage of people who stays online for 10 hours: 18%
Percentage of people who stays online for 24 hours: 9%
Percentage of respondents who use Cyber Café always: 18%
Percentage of respondents who use Cyber Café sometimes: 80%
Percentage of respondents who browse on their phone: 39%
Network providers people use to browse on phones: MTN
Widely used ISP: Starcomms
Nigerian sites that respondents visit most:  Nairaland.com

    Yea, you guys are right. I remember when I was addicted to nairaland.com. It was between 2005-2007, I never missed a day without paying a visit.
