Upcoming Tech Meetups in Nigeria

Meetups have afforded many of us the opportunity connect face-to-face and has continued to be an avenue where we share our experiences in the industry. Last month we had one event, WordCamp, this month we are counting about three events already.

Nigeria Internet Entrepreneur Meetup

This event is geared towards business networking between Nigerian technology business people, home and abroad. It’s an informal meetup, to socialize and form alliance to develop the industry.

Osita formally co-founder of onepage (founder Lotaar) is the coordinator of this event.  It’s holding 9th October 2010. Venue is yet to be selected. You can register to attend here.

#NigeriaDecides Tech Meetup

Since the start of the year, you can count many influential events that started online and have had great impact on the country. We expect the internet to play a major role in the coming election. Technologist will gather to share idea on how Nigeria can use technology/internet to bring about credible and transparent election in 2011.

The meetup holds October 16th 2010. So, if you are interested in Nation building or have an idea on how technology can help Nigeria deliver a credible election next year, you need to attend this event.

Venue will be announce soonest.
