Your Interswitch ATM card is at Risk if …
This phising message has been going on for quite some times now. I personally recieved this message today, so I felt it is necessary to reinforce it to our dear readers. The message sent will appear as though its from Interswitch, both the sender’s name and the from email. The message goes thus:
“Dear Interswitch Card Holder,
During our random scheduled account maintenance and verification procedures with affiliated banks(below), we have detected a slight error in your account information.
It might be due to the following reasons:
1. The recent change in your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
2. Multiple failed attempts at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
3. Inability to accurately verify your selected option of payment due to an internal error within our processors.
Please update and verify your information by clicking this link below:
https://webpay.interswitchng.com/webpay/
If your account information is not updated within 48 hours, your ability to access your account will be restricted.
Note: Card Number (printed on card issued by bank) and Pin are numeric. Refer to your Debit and/or Cash Cards.
Thank you for choosing, Interswitch.

Looking at the link, you will think it will take you to the interswitch website, but not so. It takes you to a tweaked webpage with a similar text boxes like Interswitch’s. 
A colleague recently lost His salary to this scheme, it’s real.
I therefore urge everyone to protect and not give out your login detail to anybody; Folow this basic steps to protect your account :
- Interswitch will not at any point in time request for your details.
- Always contact your account office if you are not clear with any account issue
- Don’t give out your pin numbers
- Do not respond to any emails asking you to update your login
- Protect your login details when using it in any ATM stand
- Use strong password
- Keep your card safe
